This is not a restful summer for the Department of Buildings and Grounds! With work in progress at all seven facilities (our six schools and the District Center) there is no rest for the weary. Throughout the summer we’ll be sharing photos of our work and of the amazing progress our crews are making.

Photos in this posting are from middle school construction and maintenance. We’ll share some elementary school photos in the next posting.

In addition to the major construction at Shepard School with the science lab reconstruction, we have hallway tile projects at Caruso, roofing at Caruso as well as Smart Lab renovations in four classrooms at both Caruso and Shepard. We are grateful to Director of Buildings & Grounds Steve Kenesie and the maintenance department as well as the seasonal workers and the amazing contractors with whom we are working. This is but a brief snapshot of the depth of the work … we’ll share more pictures and stories and updates in the days and weeks ahead.
